Today I’m going to share four of my Secret Women’s Business Secrets. Why? Some secrets just need to be shared.

Please note – even though I am highlighting certain products this is NOT a paid posting. They just happen to be some of my favourite products.

Secret # 1

My friends often laugh at some of my quirky idiosyncrasies. One in particular: toilet paper. It’s become one of my little obsessions over the years. I have no idea why, but unless there is a dozen rolls of quality toilet paper in reserve I’m nervous. And these purchases must never cost more than 45 cents a roll.

I think this is why you may find, at times, excess of 24 rolls stacked in the corner. Admittedly, I once went slightly over board and had 38 rolls stacked. Even I thought that was a little extreme.

Secret # 2

Actually this isn’t so much of a secret as a tip. When ever I get a cold the ONLY tissues I will allow near my nose are the ones that are super soft. Supposedly they are full of aloe vera. When the cold takes hold I have someone purchase me the aloe vera tissues with ‘head clearing scent’. You have to love a little eucalyptus. A girl has to take care of her nose.

Secret # 3

This secret goes hand in hand with Secret # 2. When I get a cold I usually get ‘scaly nose’. Crusty, red, unattractive dried skin.

Never fear. I have found the best products. Dermalogica’s Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque, and Power Firm. As soon as the cold hits keep smothering your nostrils. I’ll admit they are not low-budget items, but after a week of a terrible head cold – no scaly, crusty nose. Yay.

Secret # 4

I have to tell you I never, ever, ever, ever thought I would need to buy this item. And when I realized I did, I thought I would only order it online.

Once a woman gets to the menopause stage of her life words such as ‘LBL’, ‘light bladder leakage’, ‘absorbent liners’, and ‘day long freshness’, become part of her every day world. Something our Mothers didn’t warn us about.

I know there may be women who are not menopausal and may still be experiencing the dreaded LBL. To those women – I sympathize.

Today was a milestone in my life – I purchased my FIRST packet of Poise. Woooshhaa! I said it. It’s now out there. All I can say is, the body changes and you can’t control it. Damn you pelvic floor exercises, damn you! You let me down.
