“Standby on a Postcard”…. What does it mean? Best you ask the gorgeous Liz, the author of the blog Standby on a Postcard.
Liz; or Elizabeth as she introduces herself to the blogosphere, says it’s all about sharing her point of view, short stories and challenging her readers.
I love Liz! She is amazing. 
Liz isn’t afraid to share her opinions and observations with the world; be that the discovery of an amazing bottle of red, the torture of event planning an Orientation event for thousands of commencing students, or the self-imposed hiatus from dating. Liz is never one to shy away from the taboo.
Nearly three years ago I met Liz at a conference that was showcasing best practices in First Year Higher Education; back when I was known to quaff a champers or three. It was during the pre-conference welcome event that Liz and her humour entered my life. During the conference I discovered what a generous and caring soul she is. Now, I’m proud to say I consider her to be a gorgeous friend.
There are two simple reasons why I believe Liz is amazing:
- She cares.
- She isn’t afraid to have a go.
